AIR FORCE SCHOOL KURSEONG

Presently Air Force School Kurseong is running classes up to class III ( academic session 2010-11).

(i)     Fresh admission may be made in the school throughout the session. (ii)   Admission to children of serving Air Force personnel coming on transfer from outstation may be made at anytime during the year and such students are not to be denied admission. Admission of civilian children to Air Force Schools is not to be at the cost of service children. (iii) Those seeking new admission as well as those coming on transfer from an Air Force School have to produce a transfer certificate from the school last attended . In case, the school is not an Air Force School/ or a KV the certificate be endorsed by the District Education Officer of the district in which the school is located. The endorsement is to be specifically indicate whether it is recognized institution or not. AGE LIMIT A child must attain the following minimum age limit, before being granted admission to the school as on 31 Mar of the academic session in the Pre primary/primary classes :- LKG - 3 Years UKG - 4 Years Class I - 5 Years Note : Minimum age at the time of admission to other classes may accordingly be calculated as per above guidelines . Children born on 31 Mar would be deemed as having attained the requisite age. PROOF of AGE (i) Birth certificate issued by Military / Civil Hospitals as well as by Municipalities / Village Panchayats are to be accepted as proof of age. (ii) In case of defence personnel , POR extract duly signed by Unit Adjutant, is also to be accepted as a proof of age.
